24hr BP Monitoring

Union Quay Medical Centre now offer 24 hour Blood pressure monitoring. The fee is €50. Phone us on 0214310311 to find out more information.

Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (APBM) involves measuring blood pressure (BP) at regular intervals (usually every 20–30 minutes) over a 24-hour period while you carry on with normal daily activities. ABPM has the additional advantage of measuring your BP during sleep and it is now known that night time BP may give much valuable information. (more…)

Union Quay Medical Centre provides a comprehensive occupational health service, at our office conveniently located at Union Quay in Cork city.

We aim to provide a safe, effective, quality occupational health service to our clients. Our service is client-centred and lead by our occupational health specialist Dr Conor McDonnell FFOM. Dr Paul Ryan is undertaking post graduate training in occupational medicine as well.

We are fully equipped with an audiometer and audio booth, a spirometer, a Keystone Visual Acuity Screen, an ECG and we can provide near point testing for Drugs of Abuse (DOA), as supplied by Alere. We use Medlab Pathology for our blood sampling and have partnered with Full Health Medical as a platform for our Health Screening.
